The Privilege of Memory is a reflection on how much remembering shapes identity. I wrote it in a state of confusion/mourning, as I moved back home to LA after 8 years in NY. My own experiences adjusting to my new life was juxtaposed with the experiences of my great-uncle Herbert that lived with us, who was battling Alzheimer's. This album is dedicated to him.
